The story of Cinderella is familiar to everyone who was ever a child. The musical, once the most watched TV special in history, came to the stage with equal acclaim. Brought to screen and stage by Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers, the most successful duo in the history of musical theatre, Cinderella at once became an audience favorite. Rodgers and Hammerstein began their partnership with OKLAHOMA!, produced by the ASU Opera Ensemble in 2009. They went on to write classics such as South Pacific, Sound of Music, and The King and I. |
